Sesame Street: Elmo's Christmas Countdown

Elmo Christmas Countdown-- A favorite for any Elmo fan!
My son is almost 2 years old and a huge Elmo fan. We purchased this DVD under a week ago and he's already watched it 6 times! He's requesting it all the time ! The scenes with Anne Hathaway, Alicia Keys and Jamie Foxx are memorable and my husband and I find ourselves singing the songs long after the DVD is over. A must for any Elmo fan. I can see this as a pre-Christmas ritual from now on.

Elmo's Christmas is great!
After listening to and watching this video daily for about a month, I still love it! The songs are catchy and the guest appearances add different touches to an already great "cast". I will continue to give my son the option of watching this Elmo DVD even after Christmas!

Elmo's Christmas Countdown......
Elmo is the man,and has managed to get some famous faces on his lastest holiday TV movie "Elmo's Christmas Countdown." Airing in 2007 on ABC Networks during the Christmas Season Elmo and Co left me wanting an encore, as other holiday specials were receiving. Alas,no repeats, and not a return come the 2008 season. This made me eager to find this special. A viewing of a daytime talk show mentioned the film's release this year.
I bought the movie, and watched start to finish. It follows as the TV airing. There seems to be no extras, other than closed caption.
Those with motion disorders may be uncomfortable with the moving motions at the start of the film.

The Good Witch

Very sweet family movie!
Catherine Bell (JAG, Army Wives) shines again on another project. CB just shows that she can do it all-first action -adventure, drama, and now romantic comedy! This time she plays Cassie, a sweet and mysterious young woman who moves into a town run by a stuffy wife of the mayor. Cassie teaches about tolerance and looking at yourself in a postive way. Very strong message for kids. My niece and nephew loved it and ask when will there be a sequel! As does their aunt! Buy it- wont be disappointed!!

Thank you for finally releasing this movie !!!
Thanks to whom ever finaly released this movie, We have wanted it since 2008 when it was pulled right before shipment. I ordered 2 so my daughter can have one as well, We love the Good Witch now we want the Good Witch's Garden Please soon ?? I wish they would make a third movie since Jake asked Cassie to marry him. Hope everyone enjoys it as much as we will.

Wanted to buy Good Witch
I am also very bummed that it looks like "The Good Witch" will no longer be available. I just adored this movie, and so wanted to get it on DVD. I wonder what happened to make them decide to make it unavailable, but I hope that it does indeed come back on the market in the near future. I wish I knew who to contact to ask about this and request more info. What a great little film though!

Sesame Street: A Sesame Street Christmas Carol

Worst Movie Ever!!!
This movie is just a compilation of other Seame Street Movies about Christmas. Worst of all it has a lot of that annoying elmo in it. Save your money and get Christmas Eve on Sesame Street instead. That is a much better Muppet Christmas Story.

4 Film Favorites: Whoopi Goldberg (Bogus, Clara's Heart, Corrina, Corina, Made In America)

Film Favorites...NOT!!!!!
I don't know who thought to lump these movies together, but they got it all wrong. I've been a huge Whoopi fan since her unforgetable acting debut in "The Color Purple". While I've been waiting with baited breath to see "Clara's Heart" finally get its due and be released here in the States on DVD (thank you!!!!), why link it to these other forgetable titles? "Made In America", "Bogus"...are you kidding me? If they wanted to compile a Whoopi collection why not focus on her dramatic roles; the ones that truly compliment "Clara's Heart such as "Sarafina" and "The Long Walk Home" both great and equally underrated movies. I guess "Corrina Corrina" falls in line, but I still think the choice of movies could have been better. Luckily "Clara's Heart" is worth the price of this collection by itself.

Just wanted one
I already owned Bogus and Corrina Corrina on DVD, and wasn't interested in Made in America. I just wanted Clara's Heart on DVD (already had it on VHS) and this was the only product that had it. So, I bought it. Actually, I'm glad I did -- my video cabinet is getting over-loaded so having 4 movies that fit into the space of one helps. As to the movies themselves, Whoopie does a fabulous job in all four. I just have a little problem with Ted Danson (Made in America) -- I don't particularly like his acting, but that's just my personal preference. Bottom line -- if you like Whoopie this DVD is worth owning.

Whoppie Goldberg Collection
I LOVE Whoppie Goldberg and having these four movies together is great! All of the 4 are excellent movies - ones that the whole family can enjoy. All of them involve children and their families, the modern day hardships that children experience - even though the movies are 10 years++ old - they still are relevant in what children experience. All of the movies are heart warming and very funny. My favorite is Corrina Corrina - and now that i have seen the others - they are great too. They also deal with the black/white issue - how children see it before they are jaded - how they work through it with love - not hatred. Excellent movies!

Other half of Season 2
This set contains the rest of Season 2 of Transformers Generation 1. The episodes that were in Season 2 Vol. 1 were great, and this set containing the rest of the Season 2 episodes won't disappoint if you loved the Vol. 1 set. All of Season 2 we see some new characters come into the series along with some memorable events that go on throughout the entire second season of Transformers. While I may not be a Transformers geek like my bro is, but I can still appreciate what Generation 1 had offered through the first 2 seasons of the show. I give the second half of Season 2 a 4.5 out of 5.

More great Transformers episodes.
The only thing I need to add for this review was in the "Cosmic Rust" episode, Menasor says "damn it" when the aerialbots attack him. I completely forgot about him saying that! Transformers.......nothing like it as far as 80's cartoons go.

A Greater Yes

A heart warmer and a tear jerker.
We greatly enjoyed this movie. It will have you rejoicing one moment and welling up with tears the next. It is an awesome story of faith and perserverance, and when it's all said and done, you come to realize (if you don't already) that our God is sovereign, and in the end, it is His will that will be done. I strongly recommend this movie for any one, but especially for church teen groups and young adults. I am a pastor and I will be showing this movie in our church.

Powerful film sometimes comical sometimes heart wrenching
Faith Based Filming has come a long way toward taking their place alongside typical Hollywood flicks. It is shown to be a lower budget production from viewing the bonus behind the scenes material, where cast double as filming assistants but the job gets done, and done well. In this case it tells a TRUE story, perhaps somewhat altered to get years down to minutes, but the drama is certainly encapsulated. It is the story of Amy Newhouse, her battle with cancer, the ups and downs, and the faith and hope that she was able to not only keep herself, but pass along to others during the ordeal.

What a perfect choice it was to cast Anne Underwood as Amy. She is joy personified. Her bubbly personality is contagious right off the screen. She is only the first of truly believable characters in this film. Another that must be mentioned is Paul Willis playing a teen with punk hair. I'm a retired teacher, and believe me when I say these two were honestly teen-realistic. I've taught...

Get ready to cry!
The faith this young girl shows is amazing. It makes you think, do I have that kind of faith? Could I have that kind of faith, if it was me, or one of my loved ones. WOW
